MesaStila again demonstrated the differentiation,
uniqueness and innovation of its concept and brand in winning a coveted
category of the Asia Spa Awards – Holistic
Treatment of the Year. The Baccarat
trophy was presented as many spas, hotels, resorts, retreats, academies,
personalities and products vied to excel in their intensely competitive fields,
to stand out from among their equally impressive peers.
The awards paid homage not only to achievements in luxury
standards, but also to innovation, ecological awareness, and exceeding the
benchmark in spa training.
In the category that MesaStila won, the key elements of
the award were for: developing a treatment that treated the person as a whole,
attending to their physical, emotional, spiritual and mental wellbeing; a
commitment to research of holistic methodologies; the essential health benefits
of the treatment; going above industry norms and using natural resources and
indigenous rituals, specific to the region.
This award-winning treatment, Traditional Jamu and Harmonic Healing: amalgamates
the ideal of Jamu, which is created
by MesaStila’s traditional Tabib-Jamu,
with a relaxing harmonic healing treatment, where in the
Buddhist
tradition of singing bowls are combined with a gentle oil massage. After the massage, the guest will
consume the herbal Jamu and recuperate
in the rest area in one the Hammam’s.
Vivienne Tang,
Editor-in-Chief of AsiaSpa
magazine said after the event: “2012 has been a very interesting year for the
spa industry, with many new brands and spa additions. We've never received so
many nomination entries like we did this year, and it has been a truly
thrilling experience to see who eventually took home an award."
This year MesaStila not only won one coveted award but
was shortlisted for two others: Spa
Retreat of the Year and Spa Cuisine
of the Year; both won by other luxury five-star properties in Asia; which
furthermore highlights the depth of MesaStila’s excellence and obvious
differentiation as a developing spa and wellbeing retreat.
