MesaStila is a luxury retreat, previously known as Losari Spa Retreat & Coffee Plantation. Created as a labour-of-love by many diverse owners over the years - MesaStila incorporates an unparalleled collection of remarkable antiques and enchanting buildings; including, a Colonial-era railway station; historic Joglo-villas; the former residence of a Javanese Prince, and the original plantation owner’s house from 1928.

The property is set within an area of 55-acres of outstanding natural beauty; surrounded by cooling highland-air, manicured tropical gardens and lush vegetation. Built within a functioning coffee plantation and charming non-commercial coffee production process, the true magnificence of MesaStila is in its spectacular Hammam Spa.

As a wellness retreat, MesaStila offers a distinctly Javanese-fusion, with traditional Pencak Silat martial-arts; Javanese wellness therapies; coffee scrubs; Jungle-Gym & TRX training with a master-trainer; a fusion of organic, healthy and Javanese food, and the services of skilled local healers.

Java has an enormous tradition of traditional medicine, through traditional healers called dukun or tabib, who deal with a variety of illnesses, of physical, emotional, and spiritual origin, with herbal combinations. A local Jamu Master, tabib, offers healing tonics by appointment, for specific guest needs. In addition, a daily dose of Jamu is available at breakfast – where five varieties are offered complimentary by our Jamu ladies.
